Absolutely phenomenal!! Went here with my wife and my in laws and it was amazing! For starters, the resturant has a great cozy vibe and the staff is so friendly and welcoming! They give you bread with butter and eggplant caponata which I am a huge fan of! For appetizers, we got the special fried sweet and sour calamari, minestrone soup, and baked clams. All 3 of which I’d highly recommend! The clams had so much flavor and were in a delicious sauce. The calamari was perfectly crispy and sauced excellently! For entrees we got the pollo scarpariello, lamb chops, risotto, and veal chop. I personally got the pollo and loved it! The chicken was off the bone which made it so easy to eat and the sauce it was in was perfect! Was light enough so you didn’t feel bogged down but was slammed full of flavor. The rest of my family all loved their meals and we would all happily get what we had again. For dessert we got a spread of lava cake, cheese cake, carrot cake, panna cotta, and gelato. I thought I was full but I couldn’t stop myself from devouring the lava cake and carrot cake specially. The gelato was also fantastic! Overall we had such an amazing dining experience! The resturant is family owned and it gives off the family oriented vibe! I cannot wait to go back!

Visited this restaurant for a special occasion. You have to make reservations but it didn't appear to be super busy at the time we arrived. The food was good but it could of had more flavor. The pasta was made fresh but it stuck together and was a bit pasty. The staff was super friendly. It's a very romantic place.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Sapori Ristorante, and from the moment we arrived, everything about the evening was exceptional. The vibe of the restaurant is both elegant and inviting — cozy yet upscale, with a warm ambiance that made our special night feel even more intimate and memorable. Brian, the owner, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His friendliness and attentiveness set the tone for the entire evening. It’s clear he genuinely cares about his guests’ experiences — not just as customers, but as people. He checked in on us personally and made sure every detail was just right. The service from the entire staff was flawless — attentive without being overbearing, and always perfectly timed. From the moment we sat down to the last sip of our cocktail, we felt truly taken care of. And let’s talk about the food and drinks — absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can taste the passion and quality in every bite. The cocktails were expertly crafted and complemented the meal perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary dinner. Sapori Ristorante is a true gem, and Brian’s personal touch makes it all the more special. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly, highly recommended!

I was a little bit skeptical when I seen 370 reviews with a 4.9 rating until I actually went there. It is completely legit. The menu is small, but that’s because everything is done to perfection. The service was impeccable. Sammy was on top of everything like white on rice. There’s a true passionate chef in that kitchen. The attention to detail was incredible. I will most definitely be returning.

Sammy was our waiter. This gentleman is five stars alone. He is so well-versed in his profession and can tell you the menu front to back without looking at it, including the dozen specials. The restaurant itself has a beautiful ambience and is encased in windows with dim lights at every table my girlfriend ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the pork chop both meals were absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant on Staten Island

We just had my daughters baptism party here and everything from the service to the food was outstanding! The sliding doors offered a private atmosphere. We did a party package and oh my! SO MUCH FOOD! Our guests were raving about it! We can’t wait to book our next event!

We had a wonderful dinner at Sapori in Montclair tonight. The Italian food was truly delicious, and we were celebrating our daughter’s 18th birthday, which made the evening even more special. The restaurant has such a lovely atmosphere – clean, beautiful, and very welcoming. The staff was warm and attentive, which made us feel right at home. The outdoor patio is also a great spot to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend!

I’m not sure how I feel about this place. I had high hopes because of the reviews. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. To be fair, this was a Valentine’s Day dinner, so we didn’t get to try the regular menu. However, I do think the restaurant should inform guests when booking reservations that only a Valentine’s Day menu will be served. That wasn’t communicated to us. The portions were generous, and you definitely get a lot of food, but flavor-wise, it was just average. I’ve had much better Italian cuisine. Starting with the appetizers, the octopus was a strong opener—nicely charred and a very large portion. The baked oysters and clams, however, were a hard pass for me. They were overly oily and heavily breaded, which completely masked the natural flavors of the shellfish. For the main courses, we ordered scallops with squid ink spaghetti, a ribeye, and a surf and turf. It was a busy night, so perhaps the kitchen was rushed but that shouldn't be an excuse because it was about $80 per person. The spaghetti was just okay, but the scallops were cooked perfectly—tender, not rubbery, and done just right. The ribeye was my mistake; I should have known better than to order steak at an Italian restaurant. I asked for medium rare, but it came out closer to medium. The steak lacked flavor, not juicy and wasn’t particularly impressive, though that’s partly on me for the choice. The surf and turf wasn’t much better. The lobster was overcooked and rubbery, and the steak was well done even though we requested medium. Again, two strikes on the steak potions. Unfortunately, the highlight of the evening was dessert. It was by far the best part of the meal, and I truly enjoyed it. It’s just disappointing that the rest of the dinner didn’t meet the same standard, especially for the price we paid. Again it isn't the money and it wasn't that bad, it could be a lot better knowing there are many Italian spot to dine out in but a friend wanted to try it. That said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was just right. Perhaps it was simply an off night. I would consider giving it another try if I’m in Staten Island again—just not on Valentine’s Day.
